Do Hyun Woo (Lee Sun Gyun) has worked as a producer for television for the past 10 years. He believes that he has had a successful career and a happy, loving marriage. When he see’s on his wife, Jung Soo Yeon’s (Song Ji Hyo) phone a hotel reservation he becomes suspicious and paranoid that his wife is having an affair! Unsure of his suspicion he goes to an internet forum with the help of his lawyer friend and searches for an answer to if his wife is actually having an affair or he is just paranoid.

This is such a strange and hilarious show. I mean the first thing is just the title is so engaging and not what one would expect from a romantic comedy. But Lee Sun Gyun is hilarious and seems to just be a natural when it comes to comedic timing. I think this show perfectly encaptures the paranoia someone in a relationship can feel if they find something that they weren’t expecting.

Oh Chang Min (Choi Jin Hyuk) and Oh Jin Hee (Song Ji Hyo) were young and unaware of how harsh life could be when they got married. Living together Chang Min is working an unbearable job and Jin Hee is losing her hair from all the stress of living with Chang Min and fighting. When they divorce Chang Min goes back to his wealthy family while Jin Hee stays with her mother. Six years later both Chang Min and Jin Hee have gotten through medical school and end up meeting again when they learn they are both interning at the same hospital, specifically the emergency room. Forced to work together for three months, will Chang Min and Jin Hee’s romance kindle again?

This is such a dramatic show. There is the relationship drama between Chang Min and Jin Hee and meeting again and at the same time, there are so many medical mishaps occurring since they are in an emergency room. Fair warning some of the medical scenes can be a bit graphic and show blood, but it’s not too the extreme. But I think that this is a riveting drama that keeps you hooked from watching what will happen to each patient in the episode, as well as want to know if Chang Min and Jin Hee will end up together in the end.

Go Dok Mi (Park Shin Hye) is an introverted and shy copy editor who does anything she can to stay in her apartment and avoid interactions at all costs. Every day she looks out her window at her neighbor, Oh Jin Rok (Kim Ji Hoon), and watches him every morning. Enrique Geum (Yoon Si Yoon) is a famous gamer who comes to South Korea and moves into the same apartment building as Dok Mi. When Enrique catches Dok Mi one morning watching Jin Rok with binoculars, he approaches her to find out why pushing into Dok Mi’s singular lifestyle. As Dok Mi continues to live, more and more ‘flower boys’ start to become a part of her life.

This seems like such a silly romantic comedy. While I think Shin Hye and Si Yoon don’t have a very strong romantic chemistry together, I think they compliment each other well when acting on screen. I think many will enjoy this drama, especially those who know what it’s like to have a crush on someone who doesn’t know you exist. Overall I think Flower Boy Next Door is a silly romance that will have so many funny moments in it.

Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji Won) is a passionate stunt woman who has a love for music, specifically a musician by the name of Oska. Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin) is an arrogant and cold heir to a large company. When Joo Won meets Ra Im he is fascinated by her strength and beauty. As romance blossoms between the two, something magical happens and Joo Won and Ra Im switch bodies! Having to learn more about each other to pass as one another’s identities, both learn more about the other and start to fall in love.

This is one of the classic KDrama’s I can think of. The mix of romance, drama and a bit of magic give this show a fantasy-like theme. The strange sudden magic of Ra Im and Joo Won switching bodies changes the story completely and gives it a unique twist to a familiar body-switching story. But Secret Garden is a charming romance story between two people from different backgrounds who learn to understand each other.

Let’s Fight Ghost

Park Bong Pal (Ok Taec Yeon) has grown up with the abilities to see and is acting as an exorcist. As a university student, he uses his ability to make money to get rid of weak spirits. When he is called to a high school haunted by a ghost he meets Kim Hyun Ji (Kim So Hyun). Hyun Ji is a high school student who has no memory of her past life or how she died. Having roamed Korea for 5 years searching for answers, she finds that Bong Pal might be able to help her find them. Together the two fight ghosts and help them move on to the after-life.

This seems like such a fun and exciting drama to watch. Taec Yeon and So Hyun have such an amazing chemistry and are simply so funny to watch when they are together. At the same time, I am excited to see how a relationship develops between the two and find out what happened in Hyun Ji’s past and why she has been killed and why Bong Pal can see ghosts in the first place!

When Eun Chan and Han Kyul meet one night after a possible theft, Eun Chan stops the thief but lets him go as he is enamored by her younger sister. Even though Eun Chan gives back the purse, Han Kyul can’t help but think that the accident and theft were planned and gives Eun Chan his card for when she wants to be reimbursed. With the scooter damaged Eun Chan gets fired from her workplace and debates if she should get the money or keep her pride. Desperate for money she calls Han Kyul and sees him at his hotel while he is meeting with blind dates for his mother’s sake.  After countless attempts to get his attention, Han Kyul asks Eun Chan, thinking she is a boy, to be his gay lover so he doesn’t have to go on blind dates.

After watching the first episode I am so excited to continue watching. Overall this seems like a light-hearted KDrama with laughs and giggles as well as intense romance. Coffee Prince is known as one of the most talked about dramas in 2007 because of its dealings with the ideas of being gay and in a homosexual relationship (even though the two leads are male and female). Yoon Eun Hye is one of the most convincing female stars I’ve seen that can so easily pull off being a boy. While Gong Yoo is attractive and hilarious to watch as he questions Yoon Eun Hye’s character.

I recommend this to anyone who is just starting to watch KDrama’s as it is light-hearted and doesn’t seem to be too dramatic. Plus it is only 17 episodes, which is quite short compared to dramas that last 21 episodes. But I think this is an amazing drama that will be fun to watch and share the experience of watching with others.

Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) is an alien that crash landed in South Korea over 400 years ago. He has special abilities that give him advanced: hearing, sight, and an ability to heal. As he observes humans he continues to feel superior to them. Until he meets Cheon Song Yi (Jeon Ji Hyun), a Korean drama star and becomes Min Joon’s neighbor! Slowly Min Joon starts to fall for Song Yi’s looks and personality.

This was one of the most talked about dramas when it first came out. Filled with fantasy and ‘other-worldly’ romance it will be a tear-jerking romance to watch and experience. Both Soo Hyun and Ji Hyun are a good looking couple and there is a certain chemisty between the two that carry the intense love story.
